• Career Education Strategic Oversight: Theresa leads the strategic oversight of the Strong Workforce Program, managing an annual budget of $12 million, the Perkins Allocation program with an annual budget of $3 million, and a portfolio of special projects with varying funding levels. Her leadership aims to foster enrollment growth and enhance the quality of career education instruction, aligning these initiatives with the institution's mission and goals.
• Distance Education Leadership: In addition to her responsibilities in career education, Theresa also spearheads special projects in the realm of distance education. Her innovative approach and forward-thinking strategies contribute to the institution's expansion and excellence in online education.Before assuming her current role as Associate Vice President, Theresa served as the Dean of Workforce & Economic Development and Special Projects. In this capacity, she effectively coordinated, administered, and supervised the district's Career Education and Improving Online CTE Pathways Grants. Her duties encompassed program planning, project management, contract oversight, vendor relations, policy development, and financial stewardship, demonstrating her proficiency in multifaceted leadership.Theresa Milan is a lifelong learner and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration for Sacramento State and a Master of Science in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
