Nevada County Economic Resource Council

The Nevada County Economic Resource Council (ERC) is a well-respected economic development organization with a 28-year history. The ERC plays a crucial role in fostering a community that champions and nurtures individual talent, economic growth, and job opportunities for everyone, irrespective of age, financial status, or ethnicity. The ERC’s initiatives create significant value for local businesses, educational institutions, nonprofits, government agencies, agriculture, and the arts. We hold the respect of the three incorporated cities and the County of Nevada as well as all major organizations from the Nevada County Contractors Association, Nevada County Association of Realtors, Alliance for Work Force Development, Connecting Point and others. Our mission is supporting a combination of initiatives to develop, grow, retain, and attract businesses and workforce talent in Nevada County. Our middle name is “Resource”, and that is what we provide, a qualified, ready to serve resource for all businesses. We know that a flourishing and connected business community is keys to economic growth with partnership between varying business sectors and within sectors. The ERC works to establish this positive operating environment for entrepreneurial startups, existing businesses, and young businesses that possess shared alignment with Nevada County’s attributes. It is vitally important that the disinvested community know they have a way into the prosperity of the community and the ERC foster the relationships that provide for that inclusion. We regularly reach out to all sectors of the community to bring them in.
