AgStart

AgStart is a nonprofit startup incubator with a mission to accelerate agriculture, food, and health innovation in our western region. Our nearly 13,000 square foot Lab@AgStart incubator in downtown Woodland houses the Yocha Dehe Lab, the Raley's Food Lab, and the Bayer LifeHub California @AgStart.In addition to facilities, AgStart offers education, mentoring, and connections to collaborators, customers and investors. We have over eleven years of experience as an entrepreneurial ecosystem builder supporting economic development in our region. Our organization brings unique knowledge from supporting economic development in ag, food, and health. We understand the biggest challenges that ag, food, and health entrepreneurs face, and have demonstrated how supporting their needs can impact the local economy. AgStart has helped hundreds of innovators and startups since opening its doors eleven years ago, and is part of the region’s thriving innovation ecosystem. Since opening The Lab@AgStart in June 2021, ten startup companies have occupied the incubator space and have already made a significant positive economic impact in the region. They have strengthened the workforce by creating 24 new full-time professional jobs and 26 internships, and have attracted a total of $46 million in new private capital investment in our region.
