The Capitol Region Skilled Trades Workforce Pipeline Program is an exploratory initiative aimed at increasing access to quality jobs for disinvested community members in the Utilities, Transportation Infrastructure, and Commercial Construction sectors. The project will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the regional skilled trades workforce pipeline to identify training gaps and barriers to entry. Using these findings, a collaborative group of industry leaders, educators, and workforce professionals will develop a curriculum focused on shared foundational skills, with additional sector-specific training modules. The program will also design a framework for future shared training opportunities, outlining roles, responsibilities, and implementation strategies to support equitable workforce development in the region.
