Jeneba Lahai
Executive Director at Yolo County Children's Alliance
Jeneba Lahai is the Executive Director of Yolo County Children’s Alliance (YCCA). A community-based non-profit and child abuse prevention council that provides wrap-around direct services to families throughout Yolo County. As Executive Director, Jeneba has made a remarkable impact by establishing the organization as an inter-agency coordinator while building support networks throughout Yolo County to provide community-based, flexible, family-focused, and culturally sensitive support and resources to its most vulnerable community members. She plays an integral role in various planning and workgroups within the county and the region, from Housing to children and family services and inclusive economic development efforts primarily focused on underserved and low-income communities.
Currently, Jeneba serves as the board chair of Yolo County’s Homeless and Poverty Action Coalition, the continuum of care for Yolo County. She's also a member of the Yolo County Health Council, the Yolo County Basic Income leadership team, and the West Sacramento Housing Development Corporation board member. Her awards include the 2021 Sacramento Business Journal 40 under 40, the 2022 Sacramento King's Foundation Dream All-Star Community Leadership Award, and the 2023 Sacramento Bee Top 20 Black Change Makers Award.
