The We Prosper Together project by the Los Rios Community College District (LRCCD) aims to address healthcare workforce shortages in the Sacramento region by developing specialized training programs in Surgical Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, and Radiologic Technology. These programs will be implemented at Cosumnes River College, Sacramento City College, and Folsom Lake College, with American River College conducting an exploratory study for future expansion. The initiative prioritizes equity and inclusion, providing targeted support to underserved populations while equipping students with industry-aligned skills for high-wage careers. By collaborating with healthcare providers and integrating hands-on training, the project seeks to create a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals, enhancing regional economic growth and healthcare accessibility.
