Building an Economy That Works for Everyone

May 9 @ 5:00 pm

In a truly great economy, everyone — whether it’s individuals, families, businesses or entire industries — benefits from its growth. How can we build an economy that works for all in the Capital Region?

For their next “Suds and Solutions” event, Solving Sacramento is hosting a discussion about We Prosper Together. It’s a new initiative of 150+ organizations in eight counties surrounding California’s capital that wants to take a more inclusive approach to economic development by creating livable-wage jobs and encouraging diverse investments into the regional economy.

Our panelists will dive into the state of the Capital Region’s economy, including how it can take advantage of its assets and take action to address challenges and disparities. They’ll be discussing key points and highlights of two new research reports: We Prosper Together’s Capital Region Economic Assessment, and Valley Vision’s Inclusive Economy Poll of local residents’ experiences and perspectives related to economic opportunity, access and awareness.

Join us on Thursday, May 9, from 5 pm to 7pm at Track 7 Brewing in Curtis Park. There’s no charge to attend, plus we’re giving away $100 worth of free drinks on a first-come basis, so be sure to arrive early!
