Yuba Water Agency

Our organization is a special district created in 1959 to reduce flood risk, ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply, ensure regulatory compliance, and generate hydroelectricity for the economic benefit of the people of Yuba County. The revenue from power sales not only funds the ongoing operation of the agency, it also serves as the lifeblood for the programs, grants and community investments that are critical to the agency's vision of a thriving and prosperous Yuba County. Our organization brings to the table expertise in watershed management, water supply, power generation, environmental sustainability, as well as a history of collaborative efforts in economic development.
